Do you need to administer my music on YouTube, Facebook, Instagram, and other UGC platforms?

Yes. Audiosocket administers Content ID and similar rights management systems directly for all tracks we represent across user-generated content platforms, including YouTube, Facebook, and Instagram.

These systems use audio recognition to identify copyrighted music in videos. When a registered track is detected, they help protect against unlicensed use, support proper rights management, and allow royalties to be collected from eligible video plays.

We administer these systems in-house so we can accurately track usage and power our auto-whitelisting process, which helps prevent disruptive claims when clients license and use your music. Because of this, we are only able to accept music where this type of rights administration is handled by Audiosocket. We cannot support tracks that are managed by third-party administrators or excluded from these systems.

This requirement is driven by the scale of our licensing. We issue a high volume of licenses, and many of our partners rely on fast, accurate claim handling across UGC platforms. Managing this in-house helps us clear claims efficiently and protect both our artists and our clients.

If your music is administered by Audiosocket in these systems, you benefit from:

  • royalty collection when your music is used in eligible videos
  • automatic whitelisting of your artist channel(s) and licensed client uses where applicable
  • faster and easier claim resolution for you and your clients
  • eligibility across Audiosocket licensing opportunities

If your music is currently managed by another provider, such as a distributor, we may be able to help with a transfer. Since most of these systems only allow one administrator per track, transfers usually require confirmation from the rights-holder.
